   Carries out preventative maintenance on various HVAC equipment such as all heating, vents, central A/C units, A/C window units, freezers and refrigerating equipment including concerned electrical, instrument and automatism devices. Includes receiving daily instruction, work orders, obtaining required materials and equipment and executing work accordingly. Reports any breakdowns in equipment to supervisor as necessary.

   Repairs, replaces and/or installs various HVAC equipment and auxiliaries as instructed. Includes diagnosing faults, obtaining parts, equipment and tools, and initiating repairs/replacements or referring more complex repairs to the hierarchy.

   Adheres to all safety rules and regulations in carrying out work. Includes following detailed procedures indicated in work permits.

   Performs electrical lock off and lock out of low voltage equipment respectively prior to and after maintenance interventions, as per procedures utilising equipment list which approval has to be given by the Maintenance Superintendent.

   Maintains good housekeeping at work site. Maintains maintenance tools and equipment in good, safe, operating condition. Replaces and stores tools in orderly and tidy manner.

   Reports to hierarchy on time spent, work carried out, materials used and any further action required at each job undertaken.

   Performs other similar or related duties such as participating in safety drills and fire fighting, reporting any abnormalities or hazards near work site, providing “back-to-back” information on any problems or outstanding maintenance work.
