JOB PURPOSE:
- Promoting safety achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization.
- Develop, implement and maintain EHS plan to bring the Company’s Safety Systems and Policies into compliance with system requirements.
KEY RESULT AREAS:
- Maintain compliance with all safety regulations
- Practice safe working techniques.
- Implement and maintain health and safety standards.
- Establish a cordial and professional relationship with employees.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to share best practice techniques.
- Standardize health and safety in order to remain consistent.
- Identify hazardous waste and disposing of it correctly in the workshop
- Prepare Risk assessment and SMOW(safe method of work)
- Conducting risk assessment and enforcing preventative measures
- Compile and maintain relevant registers to ensure compliance.
- Document staff information, minutes of meetings, and reports compiled for management.
- Regularly inspect equipment and PPE.
- Regular inspect the work and activities.
- Prepare and conduct Safety bulletin/ tool box talk
- Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy
- Record and investigate incidents to determine causes and applying preventive measures.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety or NEBOSH DIPLOMA
- 3 years prior experience in EHS department.
- Registration as a Health and Safety Officer.
- Demonstrated exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of quality & EHS standards.
- Experience in EHS system audits.
- Demonstrates a passion and a responsibility for consumer.
- Willingness to travel when required.
